Nudges, designed to help you proactively engage inactive users and drive them into action. This feature allows you to set up chat nudges that appear based on specific conditions, ensuring timely and relevant interactions with your users.

How Nudges Work:

Nudges are small prompts that appear on your webpage to encourage user interaction.

Benefits of Using Nudges

  • Increased Engagement: By prompting users at the right time, nudges can significantly increase user engagement and interaction.

  • Targeted Communication: Nudges allow you to deliver specific messages based on user behavior and page context.

  • Enhanced User Experience: With controlled and timely prompts, nudges enhance the overall user experience without being intrusive.

Here's how they function:

Getting Started

Step 1: Navigate to `AI Nudges` Settings

To start using Nudges, navigate to the AI Nudges as shown below

Settings -> Integrations -> AI Nudges

Step 2: Configure Nudges

Configure your nudges based on the desired page titles or URLs, set the timing, and define the user interaction conditions.

If you want to setup specific Nudges for different pages, you can setup multiple nudges. You can see all the nudges and their enable/disable status for Nudge Configuration screen. Note, the first nudge to match its conditions when a user visits a page will be the one to show. You can drag and drop nudges to reorder them.

More Details about Nudges Configurations:

Display Conditions

A nudge will be shown when a page is visited if it meets the following criteria:

  • Configuration Match: The nudge is configured to match the page title or URL.

  • User Interaction: The nudge will only appear if the user:

    • Has not dismissed the nudge using the "X" button.

    • Has not opened the widget.

    • Has not clicked on the nudge.

    • Does not have an ongoing conversation.

Timing

Configured Delay: Once the conditions are met, the nudge will be displayed after a pre-configured amount of time. This ensures that users are not overwhelmed immediately upon visiting the page.

Dismissal Duration

Persistent Dismissal: If a user dismisses a nudge, it will remain dismissed until the cookie storing this information is cleared. This prevents the same nudge from reappearing unnecessarily.

Handling Multiple Nudges

First Match Priority: In cases where more than one nudge's rules match the page, the system will display the first matching nudge. This prioritization helps in managing multiple nudges effectively.

On the nudges page, you can reorder nudges by dragging and dropping them, if you've added a new nudge you'd like to take higher priority.

🪄 AI Writes Your Nudges

Rather than showing a fixed text, you can choose "AI generated nudges" and give some guidelines to the AI. With AI nudges, you can automatically generate unique nudge text for each page of your website and drive more engagement.

The AI will consider the title and content of the page the user is on, along with the instructions you've given and generate nudge text dynamically.

Once you've entered your guidelines, you can preview the nudge text that will be generated by selecting from URLs you've given for training.
