Intercom Help Center Articles

Alhena AI can ingest articles from your Intercom Help Center to train your AI on your existing knowledge base content.

There's no domain to enter — Alhena reads the articles directly from your connected Intercom workspace. You connect Intercom once, and Alhena imports its published Help Center articles.

Prerequisites

Connect your Intercom workspace first under Settings > Integrations. If Intercom isn't connected when you add the source, Alhena will prompt you to set it up.

Setup Steps

  1. Go to AI Settings > Knowledge Base

  2. Click Add external source and choose Intercom Articles

  3. (Optional) Turn on Ingest Internal Helpdesk Articles to also include internal, teammate-only articles

  4. Click Save to start the import

Configuration Options

Option
Description

Ingest Internal Helpdesk Articles

Also include internal, teammate-only articles from your Intercom Knowledge Hub (requires the Intercom integration to be connected)

Internal Articles

By default, Alhena imports the published articles from your public Help Center. Turn on Ingest Internal Helpdesk Articles to also include the internal articles in your Intercom Knowledge Hub — the teammate- and AI-only content that isn't shown in your public Help Center.

Internal articles are added to the same knowledge base as your public articles, so any content you import can inform your AI's answers. Only turn this on if that content is safe to use in customer replies.

Regions and Languages

Alhena automatically uses the correct Intercom data region (US, EU, or AU) for your workspace and imports each article's default-language content.
